ACUPONCTURE:

Acupuncture is a therapeutic method to balance vital energy. Different approaches are proposed by our Acupuncturist, Mrs. Carolina Sanchez:

  • Traditional Chinese Acupuncture:
    • Acupuncture is based on an energetic and holistic approach. According to Eastern medical thought, it acts on the Qi that circulates in the body through the meridians. Needles inserted on the surface of the skin stimulate precise acupuncture points to regulate Qi and targeted physiological, organic and psychological functions.
  • Laser Acupuncture:
    • This therapeutic choice is ideal for people who are afraid of the needle, children, babies, people in a state of weakness and in cases of acute traumatic injuries, when needle insertion is not recommended. The laser acts both as a replacement and a complement to the needle.
  • Obstetrical acupuncture:
    • Follow-up can be done from pregnancy test to postpartum, allowing the pregnant woman to take a break, rest, relieve symptoms and treat pregnancy discomforts, such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, fatigue, constipation, sleep disorders, circulation disorders and back pain.
  • Pediatric Acupuncture:
    • From birth, a baby can receive acupuncture treatments and continue throughout childhood and adolescence. The most frequent reasons for consulting acupuncture are: colic, reflux, digestive disorders, toothache, earaches, colds, flu, fragile immune system, asthma, allergies, eczema, lack of concentration, agitation, sleep disorders (insomnia and night terrors), anxiety and stress, various pains, enuresis.
  • Acupuncture in Oncology:
    • The evidence that justifies the use of acupuncture as an intervention method for symptom relief in palliative care and cancer patient support. The beneficial effects are mainly documented on pain, chronic fatigue, nausea and vomiting, xerostomia or dry mouth, hot flashes, lymphedema, anxiety, depression and insomnia.
  • Esthetic acupuncture:
    • The acupuncture facelift is an intermediary between aesthetic creams and surgical facelift. Acupuncture lifting tones muscles, tightens the epidermis, reduces wrinkles. The action of the treatments is preventive in people whose wrinkles are not very visible and curative in others whose wrinkles are already visible.
